Chicago Marathon '19: Race Week Pop-Ups
Alright crew, we’re at part 2 of my Marathon Prep Guides! This time, we’re chatting special Race Week popups and events! Below you will find product launch events, parties, meet and greets, and everything in between happening during race week. Did I miss something? Tracksmith & The Chicago Athletic Association Hotel
In addition to their shakeout run (which can be found in my Shakeout Runs post!), Tracksmith will be launching their Chicago Marathon collection on Friday at noon! You can get a sneak peek of the collection here and you can check all of their events out at the CAA Hotel on Michigan Ave. Friday night at 7pm, they’ll be showing The 41st Day at CAA, and tickets are $13. You can snag tickets here!
On Sunday, they will be doing a post-race party at CAA (sooo close to the finish line!) and will be poster stamping! You need to RSVP for both events, though they are free. You can RSVP here!
3run2 Post Race Party
Every year, 3run2 does a post race party at the Logan Square Auditorium. It’s guaranteed to be a good time, and there will be shuttles running there from the Heartbreak Happy Hour (see below)! Tickets are $15 and ALL are welcome to attend! Doors open at 9 and stay open until they hit capacity. You can snag your tickets here!
Heartbreak Happy Hour
This happy hour takes place at 6pm and ends with shuttles to the 3run2 party (above) if you plan to attend! It is open to all and features light bites and drinks. It will take place at the store, 2148 N Halsted. The Facebook event is here, and you can snag your free ticket by RSVPing here! (I plan to be at this happy hour!)
Nike Chicago Events
Okay there are a lot of these so I’m going to bullet point them out!
October 10: The Vaporfly Next% Launch @ all Nike locations, doors open at 10am and this is where you can get the PINK colorway! PINK! Guys I love pink.
October 11-12: Nike Expo Shuttle from 8:30am to 6:30pm A Free Shuttle running between Nike Chicago and McCormick Place for the Expo! Trust me when I say, this is clutch. McCormick Place is tough to get to!
October 10: Bowerman Track Club Product Line Launch at Heartbreak Hill Running Company at 7pm, with a chat with the Bowerman Babes beginning at 6:30p. RSVP here!
October 11: Meet and Greet with Chris Mosier + BeTrue Nike Vaporfly Next% launch at Nike Lab. 1:30-2:30pm (NikeLab is located next door to Nike Chicago)
October 11: Nike Race Series 004 at 7pm. This is a relay race with teams of four. I believe registration can still be found here! The race will be at Soldier Field! (I will be running with friends!)
October 12: Pop-up at Notre Featuring Talks with Vaporfly Next% developer, Chris Cook. This event takes place at 2pm.

As we head into race week, I leave you with my race mantra below. Part of why I love it is my last name (Tempest) and a huge part of why I like it is when I’m running with heart, I’m running with ferocity.
