Running through 2016
One of the things I find toughest about being an adult is that I feel like nothing is measurable. In school, I was always able to view signs of progress in my grades, and by graduating, etc. I was always looking forward to the next chapter in my life. But now I'm at that big near-end chapter: the real world.
So despite my bad knees, I've decided to run the Disney Wine and Dine Half-Marathon this November, assuming that I am able without serious knee injury. I'm working my way up to it by running fun races around Chicago this year. I'm hoping that having that long-weekend to look forward to along with a hobby with measurable progress will keep me motivated and peppy this year. I'll be training for this in addition to my barre, yoga and HIIT classes. I'll be posting about each race as they happen, but if you'd like to run them with me, I've posted the races below!
April 23: Race to Wrigley 5K
May 22: Michelob Ultra 10K
July ??: B1G 10K
November 4: Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon
Wish me (and my knees) luck!
