From Crunching to Brunching: Elevated Athleisure
The best way to celebrate a Saturday or Sunday workout is hands-down a solid brunch to replenish those burned calories. As a Bloody Mary enthusiast (code: MUSES gets you 15% off the Chicago Bloody Mary Fest, btw!) brunch is my favorite meal. While I am participating in (mostly) Sober September, I've found that bloody mary bars are still delicious without the vodka, by the way. Anyway, below are some of my favorite outfits to take me from a fitness class to brunch with only minimal freshening up!
Look 1: From Yoga to Brunch
Featuring: Alo Moto Leggings, Reebok Dance Strappy Bra, Balega Hidden Comfort Socks, Reebok Classics (Linked here), Casual Flowy Top (similar linked here), Beyond Yoga Zip Jacket, Lululemon The Yoga Bag (similar linked below, Lulu brand linked here)
Recommended Workout and Brunch Spot: Studio Three to Hutch River North

This look is a great way to go from a yoga class to brunch while adding only your socks and shoes, and a tee! The strappy Reebok bra looks cute under the deep neck of the Joriki top, while the clean white Reebok Classics tie everything in to look polished and fresh. Add a little extra deodorant (I love Clean Queen from tarte!) and a spritz of perfume (I love anything rose scented) and you're ready to hit your brunch reservation.
Look 2: From Your Run to Brunch
Featuring: Adidas Supernova 7/8 Tight, Adidas Performer Strappy Top, Lululemon Energy Bra, Second Skin 3/4 Training Top (similar below, actual linked here), Balega Hidden Comfort Socks, Adidas Adizero Tempo 9, Nike Running Belt (Similar looks linked below! A lot of these items are exclusive/first look for Avenue A Subscribers)
Recommended Workout and Brunch Spot: Lake Front Path to Hash House a Go Go

This look was inspired by the Avenue A by Adidas Box, because I'm in love with it. If I ever figure out how to use a referral code to save you some $$$ for it, I'll share it. It's my favorite subscription box I've ever purchased.

This look is meant to take you straight from a run to brunch. The items are polished and fall-colored, perfect for a brunch date this September. My recommendation for freshening up is a Yuni Shower Wipe, and making sure you use a sport-strength deodorant before. (I like Degree Motionsense for running!) With the Chicago Marathon right around the corner, this look is a lifesaver for me. The zip pockets on your tights will hold your cards and the running belt with hold a Yuni shower wipe and your keys, and you're ready to go. Marathon training doesn't mean you have to sacrifice a weekend morning brunch with friends!
Look 3: From Spin to Brunch
Featuring: Joriki Mesh Paneled Leggings, Adidas Marble Speed Crop Training Tank, Lululemon NTS Jacket (similar linked below), Lululemon DTB Duffle (similar linked below), Balega Hidden Comfort Socks, Reebok Classics (HERE), Tiem Athletic Indoor Cycling Shoes (Linked here)
Recommended Workout and Brunch Spot: CycleBar to Federales

This is a look I'm very familiar with as an Indoor Cycling instructor. The crop is long enough and the tights are tall enough that you can pull this stylish spin look to brunch easily, especially with the addition of the NTS jacket or a Scuba Hoodie. I've paired this look with my favorite classic shoes, the Reebok Classics in white leather, to again bring in a clean, polished element to your admittedly sweaty look. I recommend using FRE to wash the grit off your face after class (code BRIT gets you 15% off) and reapplying deodorant. Dude Wipes or a similar body wipe will be a lifesaver to prevent body acne.
Look 4: From the Gym to Brunch
Featuring: Second Skin 7/8 Novelty Tights (similar below, actual here), Lululemon Energy Bra, Second Skin Quatroflex Tank (similar below, actual here), Lululemon NTS Jacket, Balega Hidden Comfort Socks, Nike Metcon 3 Flyknits, Lululemon Free to Be Bag
Recommended Workout and Brunch Spot: FFC Old Town to Three Arts Club Cafe

For mornings when you're heading from lifting weights to lifting a glass, this look will help you perform at the gym and is cute and put together enough for brunch. The tights are stylish and comfortable and include a side zipper pocket, the tank is simple and neutral colored, and while the metcons (meant for lifting AND light cardio) have a pop of color, they look clean and stylish. Add a nice tote to carry your gym essentials and you're set to run from FFC to Three Arts Club.
In addition, I've linked a shoppable round-up of my favorite post-workout, pre-shower toiletries! These will get you from workout to brunch smelling fresh and feeling clean!
And now you're ready to put together an outfit to carry you through your morning workout all the way through the eats afterwards! No excuses to skip that workout now; get to the gym!
